Parkour in Sheffield — Free Community Sessions
Want to train parkour or freerunning in Sheffield? Come and join us. Sheffield Parkour & Freerunning (SPKF) has been running open, welcoming sessions across the city since 2005, and everyone is welcome — from complete beginners taking their first steps to experienced athletes. There’s no membership, no sign-up form and no fee: our community sessions are free, and you can just turn up.
When and where we train
Alongside our partners at Northern Parkour, our community meets to train together several times a week in Sheffield. All of these sessions are free and open to anyone, whatever your experience level:
- Tuesdays & Thursdays, 6pm — Endcliffe Parkour Park (our main coached-friendly training sessions)
- Saturdays, 1:30pm — Northumberland Road Courtyard, Sheffield S10 2TT
- Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays, 6pm — Endcliffe Parkour Park (relaxed evening social sessions — a great way to meet other local traceurs)
Endcliffe Park’s purpose-built parkour park, with its bars, walls and platforms, is perfect for beginners and seasoned movers alike. Session times can occasionally change with the seasons and the weather, so the best way to check what’s on this week is our community Discord.
It’s completely free
We’re a community, not a business. You don’t need to book, pay or commit to anything — just come down to a session, introduce yourself, and get moving. Parkour is one of the most accessible activities there is: no expensive kit, no gym membership, and one of the best free things to do in Sheffield to get active and build real confidence.
Who can come?
Everyone is welcome — all ages and all abilities. Beginners are the reason we’re here, and there’s always someone happy to show you the ropes and help you train safely. If you’re under 18, please come along with a parent or guardian, or drop us a message on Discord first so we can look after you. Brand new to the sport? What to bring
- Comfortable clothes you can move in
- Trainers with decent grip
- Water, and a warm layer for after
- A good attitude — that’s the only real requirement
